Front lower left-hand replacement ball joint for 2007–2015 Acura and Honda models. This service part secures the steering knuckle to the control arm, allowing smooth pivoting of the wheel assembly while maintaining wheel alignment and steering precision. Designed for durability and dependable performance, it restores worn suspension geometry, reduces play and vibration, and helps prevent uneven tire wear. Engineered for direct fitment, the part simplifies suspension repairs and contributes to safer, more comfortable driving.
Features:
- Fits 2007–2015 Acura and Honda models (front lower, left-hand/driver side).
- Direct-fit front lower ball joint replaces worn or damaged OEM unit.
- Secures the steering knuckle to the control arm for stable steering and proper wheel alignment.
- Durable construction resists wear and maintains suspension geometry under road loads.
- Helps reduce vibration, steering play, and uneven tire wear; ideal for restoration or maintenance.
- Designed for relatively straightforward installation with common suspension tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes (per side)
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Loosen the front wheel lug nuts slightly, then lift the vehicle with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel to access the suspension components.
- Remove or retract the brake caliper and bracket as needed; hang the caliper with a wire to avoid strain on the brake hose.
- Remove the cotter pin and castle nut (or retaining nut) securing the ball joint stud to the steering knuckle.
- Disconnect any sensors or sway bar links that obstruct removal (if applicable).
- Separate the ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or press. Take care not to damage surrounding components.
- If the ball joint is pressed into the control arm, use a ball joint press to remove it. Apply penetrating oil to ease removal if corroded.
- Clean the control arm bore and inspect for damage or corrosion. Replace the control arm if the bore is excessively worn.
- Install the new ball joint into the control arm. If press-fit, use the ball joint press to press the unit in squarely. Ensure the joint is fully seated.
- Reattach the steering knuckle to the ball joint stud and install the retaining nut. Torque to the vehicle manufacturer's specification and install a new cotter pin if required.
- Reinstall any removed components (brake caliper, sway bar links, sensors) and torque fasteners to spec.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
- After installation, have wheel alignment checked and adjusted as needed to ensure proper steering and tire wear.
