Front lower ball joint designed for 2009–2014 Honda vehicles (confirm specific model fitment before purchase). This critical steering and suspension component connects the lower control arm to the steering knuckle, maintaining wheel alignment and allowing smooth pivoting for steering and suspension travel. Instructions:
  1. Park on level ground, engage parking brake and chock rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, lift vehicle with jack and support with jack stands. Remove the wheel.
  3. Remove brake caliper and bracket (hang caliper with wire — do not stress brake hose) and remove the rotor if needed for access.
  4. Remove cotter pin and nut from the ball joint stud, then separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or by gently tapping with a hammer/punch.
  5. Support and detach the lower control arm as required to gain access to the ball joint mounting point.
  6. Use a ball joint press to press out the old ball joint from the control arm. Apply penetrating oil to stuck components and use appropriate adapters for safe pressing.
  7. Clean the control arm bore, inspect for damage or excessive wear, and position the new ball joint. Press the new unit into place until fully seated per manufacturer orientation.
  8. Reassemble the control arm and steering knuckle. Torque the ball joint nut and other fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and install a new cotter pin if applicable.
  9. Reinstall rotor and caliper, then wheel. Lower the vehicle, torque lug nuts to spec and perform a final check.
  10. After installation, test drive at low speed to verify steering and suspension operation. Have a professional alignment performed if necessary.
