Outer right-hand tie rod end for 2012–2014 Toyota vehicles. This replacement steering component secures the steering linkage to the outer wheel hub assembly and translates steering input into wheel movement. Built for durability and reliable performance, the part restores precise steering response, reduces play in the steering system, and helps maintain proper wheel alignment. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged outer tie rod ends, it’s ideal for maintenance, restoration, and safety-focused repairs.
Features:
- Fits 2012–2014 Toyota vehicles (verify exact model fitment for your Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Tacoma, or other Toyota model).
- Durable metal construction resists wear and provides long service life.
- Secures steering linkage to the wheel hub to restore precise steering response and reduce play.
- Pre-greased ball stud and protective boot reduce friction and keep contaminants out.
- Direct replacement for worn or damaged outer tie rod ends — simplifies steering system restoration.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; replaces faulty part to help maintain proper alignment and tire wear.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Secure vehicle on level ground, loosen front wheel lug nuts, raise vehicle with a jack and support with jack stands, then remove the front wheel.
- Locate the outer tie rod end on the steering knuckle and mark the position of the old tie rod on the inner tie rod or count the number of exposed threads to preserve alignment.
- Remove cotter pin (if present) from the castle nut on the tie rod stud and loosen and remove the nut.
- Separate the tie rod stud from the steering knuckle using a tie rod puller or a pickle fork; avoid damaging the boot or knuckle.
- Loosen the lock nut on the inner tie rod and unscrew the outer tie rod end, counting turns or aligning to the mark made earlier to maintain alignment.
- Install the new outer right-hand tie rod end by threading it onto the inner tie rod to the same position or thread count as the original, then tighten the lock nut.
- Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle, install and torque the nut to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification, and install a new cotter pin if applicable.
- Re-install the wheel, lower the vehicle, torque wheel lug nuts to spec, and perform a test drive. Have a professional wheel alignment performed to ensure correct toe settings and prevent premature tire wear.
