Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts, raise vehicle with jack, and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Locate the inner tie rod assembly at the steering rack and apply penetrating oil to fasteners if needed.
- Mark the position of the outer tie rod on the threaded section to preserve alignment, then loosen the jam nut between inner and outer tie rod.
- Use a tie rod end puller or pickle fork to separate the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle, then unscrew the outer tie rod from the inner to free the assembly if required.
- Remove any retaining clip or lock nut securing the inner tie rod to the steering rack, then use an inner tie rod tool or appropriate wrench to unscrew and remove the old inner tie rod.
