Inner tie rod end (right or left hand) for 2019–2023 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles. This replacement part secures the inner end of the steering rack’s tie rod assembly, translating steering input to the wheels while maintaining proper alignment and wheel tracking. Built for durability and reliable performance, the component reduces play, restores steering precision, and withstands road vibration and wear. Designed as a direct-fit replacement, it simplifies steering system repairs and is ideal for routine maintenance or full restoration projects.
Features:
- Fits 2019–2023 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC models — inner tie rod end, available for right or left hand application.
- High-strength construction for long-lasting durability and resistance to road wear.
- Restores steering precision by eliminating play in the inner tie rod connection.
- Serves as a direct-fit replacement for quick, accurate installation without modification.
- Sealed joint design reduces contamination and extends service life.
- Helps prevent uneven tire wear and improves vehicle handling and safety.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60–120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels. Loosen lug nuts on the front wheel.
- Raise the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel to access the steering components.
- Locate the inner tie rod end on the steering rack and inspect for any retaining clips or boots. Remove the steering rack boot clamp or fasteners as required.
- Mark the position of the outer tie rod relative to the inner tie rod or count exposed threads to preserve alignment reference.
- Loosen and remove the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle using an appropriate puller or separation tool.
- Unscrew the inner tie rod from the steering rack — use an inner tie rod tool or appropriate wrench. Remove the old inner tie rod.
- Inspect the rack threads and boot for damage or contamination. Clean mating surfaces and apply grease if the replacement requires it.
- Install the new inner tie rod by threading it onto the steering rack to the marked reference or to the factory specification. Torque to the manufacturer's specification.
- Reattach the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle and torque the nut to spec. Replace any cotter pins or retainers if present.
- Reinstall the steering rack boot and secure clamps. Refit the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification.
- Because tie rod replacement affects alignment, obtain a professional wheel alignment to ensure proper toe, prevent tire wear, and restore handling.
