This front bumper guard kit is engineered to protect and preserve the appearance of 1982-1987 Buick Regal vehicles by reinforcing the front bumper with a durable pair of guards. Designed to absorb minor impacts and shield the bumper face from scrapes and dings, the kit is ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn original guards. Constructed for long-term reliability and simple fitment, the guards restore factory appearance while minimizing vibration and road damage.
Features:
- Fits 1982-1987 Buick Regal front bumper (pair).
- Durable corrosion-resistant steel construction with protective finish for long life.
- Shields bumper face from minor impacts, scrapes, and parking damage.
- Restoration-ready replacement that restores original appearance and functionality.
- Designed for straightforward bolt-on installation using existing bumper mounting points.
- Helps reduce vibration and protects trim and paint around the bumper area.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and turn off engine. If available, refer to vehicle service manual for safety precautions.
- Inspect existing bumper area and remove any old or damaged bumper guards or mounting hardware using appropriate sockets or screwdrivers.
- Clean the mounting area with a cloth and mild solvent to remove dirt, grease, and road grime for a secure fit.
- Position the new bumper guard against the bumper, aligning the kit’s mounting holes with the vehicle’s existing factory mounting points. Use masking tape to hold guards in place temporarily if needed.
- Insert supplied or existing bolts/fasteners through the guard and into the mounting points. Start all fasteners by hand to ensure proper thread engagement.
- Adjust the guard position for even gaps and correct alignment with the bumper face before final tightening.
- Tighten fasteners snugly with a socket and ratchet, then use a torque wrench to finish to a moderate snug setting. Do not overtighten to avoid distortion of the guard or bumper.
- Re-check alignment and fastener tightness after a short test drive. Make any final adjustments if necessary and retorque fasteners after 24–48 hours of normal driving.
