Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and if desired support the vehicle on jack stands for better access to the rear bumper.
- If replacing existing bumper guards, apply penetrating oil to fasteners and remove old hardware. Keep note of hardware locations.
- Clean mounting area on the bumper to remove rust, grease, or debris so new guards seat flush.
- Position one bumper guard into place and hand-thread the supplied bolts to align mounting holes. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Repeat positioning for the opposite guard so both are aligned before final tightening.
- Verify even spacing and correct orientation; adjust as needed so guards sit flush and symmetrical.
- Torque all fasteners to a moderate snug setting (avoid over-tightening) and re-check alignment. Use thread locker if desired for long-term security.
- Inspect final fitment and take the vehicle for a short, careful test to ensure nothing is loose. Re-torque after initial driving if necessary.
