- Difficulty: 2/5

Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower the window completely.
- Remove the interior door panel and any water shields or vapor barriers to access the channel area.
- If necessary, disconnect or secure the window glass to prevent movement (use masking tape to hold glass in place).
- Carefully remove the old glass run channels by pulling them out of the door frame; cut away any bonded or rotted portions with a utility knife.
- Clean the channel mounting surfaces thoroughly with solvent to remove dirt, old adhesive, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new channels in the door frame to confirm orientation (left/right and top/bottom).
- Apply a thin layer of silicone or rubber lubricant to the inside of the new channels to ease glass movement.
- Install the new channels by pressing the rubber edge into the channel groove, working from one end to the other until fully seated. Ensure steel reinforcement is fully engaged where applicable.
- Reposition the window glass into the new channel, adjust glass position for smooth travel, and cycle the window several times to verify operation and seal.
- Reinstall the door panel, vapor barrier, and any hardware. Final check for proper fit, sealing, and quiet operation.
