A direct-fit division bar glass run channel designed for left or right hand installation on First Series vehicles using the GRB 1111 51 specification. This channel guides and seals the door glass where it passes the division bar, preventing wind noise, water intrusion, and excessive wear on the glass edge. Molded from durable, weather-resistant material, it restores proper window alignment and smooth operation while resisting compression and deterioration over time. Ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn original channels, it delivers reliable performance and simple installation.
Features:
- Fitment: Designed for First Series vehicles using the GRB 1111 51 division bar specification (left or right hand).
- Replaces worn or damaged glass run channels to restore smooth window travel and alignment.
- Durable, weather-resistant material resists cracking, compression, and UV degradation.
- Seals against wind and water to reduce noise and prevent interior moisture damage.
- Direct-fit design for a reliable, OEM-style restoration without trimming or modification.
- Simple installation with common hand tools; suitable for professional or DIY restoration work.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Lower the window fully and remove the interior door panel following the vehicle-specific procedure (disconnect wiring and fasteners as needed).
- Carefully peel back any vapor barrier or insulation to access the division bar area and old run channel.
- Release and remove the old glass run channel from the division bar, using a trim tool or flat screwdriver to ease it out where necessary; retain any clips or fasteners if reusable.
- Clean the division bar and surrounding channel area with rubbing alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and old lubricant.
- Apply a light coating of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the new run channel to aid installation and to the edge of the glass for smooth seating.
- Position the new run channel onto the division bar, aligning left or right orientation as required, and press it firmly into place until fully seated; use gentle even pressure to avoid distortion.
- Manually cycle the window up and down several times to ensure smooth movement and correct alignment; adjust placement if the glass binds or gaps.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier and interior door panel, reconnect any wiring and fasteners, and perform a final check for leaks and noise.
