An 8-foot single-length glass run channel designed as a direct aftermarket replacement and cut-to-fit solution for door window seals. This durable rubber/vinyl channel secures the glass in the door frame, reduces wind noise and vibration, and prevents water and debris intrusion. Supplied as a full 8' piece to allow trimming for left or right doors and for a wide range of restoration or maintenance applications, it offers long-lasting resistance to UV, ozone, and weathering for reliable performance.
Features:
- Full 8-foot single-length piece—cut to fit for left or right door applications and many vehicle door frames
- Constructed from durable rubber/vinyl compound for weather, UV and ozone resistance
- Secures and guides window glass to reduce wind noise, vibration and rattles
- Helps prevent water leaks and keeps dirt and debris out of the door cavity
- Designed for restoration and replacement projects on classic and modern vehicles
- Easy to trim and install with basic hand tools; ideal for garages and professional shops
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-90 minutes per door (varies by vehicle and skill level)
Instructions:
- Remove interior door panel and any window channel retainers to expose the old glass run channel.
- Carefully lower or raise the window glass to a position that allows removal of the old channel; support the glass so it won't drop.
- Remove the old channel by prying it out of the door frame; note any clips or retainers and remove them if damaged.
- Clean the channel seating area inside the door with rubbing alcohol and a cloth; remove dirt, grease and old adhesive.
- Measure the opening and transfer the length to the new 8' channel. Cut the new channel to length with a utility knife or heavy scissors.
- Apply soapy water or a light silicone spray to the inside of the new channel to ease installation. If your vehicle originally used adhesive, apply a suitable window channel adhesive per product instructions.
- Start seating the new channel at one end of the door frame and work along the channel, pressing the profile into the groove. Use a trim tool to tuck the flange fully into the channel seat.
- Reinstall any clips or retainers and carefully reposition the glass into the new channel, cycling the window up and down to ensure smooth operation and proper seating.
- Trim any excess material at mounting points or sash corners for a flush fit, clean off excess lubricant, and reassemble the door panel.
- Test the window for smooth operation, proper sealing, and absence of wind noise or leaks. Make final adjustments as needed.
