The Precision Glass Run Channel GRB 1111 73 is a direct-fit left or right-hand window channel designed to guide and seal the door glass. It restores proper glass alignment, reduces wind noise and water intrusion, and protects the window from wear during operation. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant materials with a corrosion-resistant backing, this channel delivers reliable long-term performance and smooth window travel — ideal for restoration, repair, or routine replacement of worn channels.
Features:
- Left or right-hand application — GRB 1111 73 fits either side as specified
- Constructed from weather-resistant rubber and a corrosion-resistant internal channel for durability
- Guides and secures the door glass to prevent rattles and misalignment
- Reduces wind noise and prevents water leaks into the door cavity
- Direct-replacement design for straightforward restoration or repair projects
- Improves window operation and helps protect glass edges from damage
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Lower the window to a position that allows access to the top of the glass (if possible) and disconnect the vehicle battery if required by the vehicle.
- Remove the interior door panel and any vapor barriers per the vehicle service procedure to expose the window channel area.
- Carefully detach the old glass run channel: peel back the channel lip and slide it out of the door frame. Use trim tools and pliers as necessary to free any clips or adhesive.
- Clean the channel mounting area and glass edge with solvent to remove dirt, adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Apply a light coating of silicone spray or soapy water to the new channel’s inner seal to ease installation and protect the rubber during initial seating.
- Starting at the top corner, press the new glass run channel into the door frame groove. Work along the length of the channel, ensuring the rubber lip seats fully into the channel and any retaining clips align.
- Carefully lower or raise the glass into the new channel, ensuring smooth travel and correct alignment. Adjust glass positioning and channel seating as needed.
- Reinstall any vapor barrier and the interior door panel. Operate the window several times to confirm quiet, smooth operation and to ensure there are no leaks or binding.
- Inspect for proper fit and trim any excess material if required by the vehicle. Recheck fasteners and clips for secure attachment.
