Instructions:
- Locate the existing battery lid cushion. Open the lid and inspect attachment points.
- Remove the old cushion and scrape away residual adhesive using a plastic scraper. Use alcohol or a degreaser to fully clean the surface; allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new cushion (63223 E4102) to the lid. Trim any excess material with scissors or a utility knife for a precise fit.
- If using an adhesive promoter, apply per product directions and allow to flash dry.
- Peel the backing from the cushion’s adhesive and carefully align it on the cleaned lid surface. Press firmly across the entire pad for 30–60 seconds to ensure full contact.
- If desired, use masking tape to hold the cushion in place for 10–15 minutes while the adhesive sets. Avoid heavy loading for 24 hours to allow full bond strength.
- Close and open the lid several times to confirm rattle elimination and correct placement.
