Instructions:
- Allow engine to cool and disconnect battery if desired for safety.
- Locate the old grommet on the valve cover and use a pick or small flat-blade screwdriver to pry out the damaged grommet carefully.
- Clean the valve cover hole and surrounding area with a rag to remove oil and debris; inspect the hole for damage.
- Apply a thin film of silicone grease or light oil to the new grommet to ease installation and improve sealing.
- Align the grommet with the valve cover opening and press it straight in until it sits flush and evenly seated.
- Check the grommet for proper fit and reinstall any components previously removed (hoses, caps, hardware).
- Start the engine and inspect the area for leaks; re-tighten or reseat if any seepage is observed.
