A direct-replacement left and right running board weatherstrip seal designed to protect the underside and edges of running boards from water, dirt, and road debris. These precision-molded seals restore a factory appearance while preventing corrosion and reducing rattles and vibration between the board and vehicle body. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, the pair provides long-lasting performance and a secure fit — confirm vehicle-specific compatibility before purchasing.
Features:
- Left and right pair of running board weatherstrip seals — replaces worn or missing seals.
- Durable, weather-resistant rubber construction resists cracking, UV, and ozone degradation.
- Seals out water, mud, and road debris to help prevent rust and interior contamination.
- Reduces vibration and rattle by cushioning the interface between running board and body.
- Restoration-grade replacement restores factory look and function for worn running boards.
- Simple installation with common hand tools; adhesive or retainers may be used depending on vehicle.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and remove any debris from the running board area.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry out retainers or peel away adhesive. Use a trim tool to avoid scratching the board.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or degreaser and allow it to dry completely.
- Dry-fit each new seal (left and right) to confirm orientation and trim length as needed.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin continuous bead to the seal or mounting flange per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal into place along the running board edge, aligning cutouts and retaining features. Work slowly to avoid trapping air.
- Use masking tape or clamps to hold the seal in place while adhesive cures (if used). Heat the seal lightly with a heat gun to improve flexibility in cold conditions before final seating.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a clean finish and inspect both seals to ensure a snug, uninterrupted contact along the board.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per product instructions before driving or exposing to moisture.
