Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the doors and trunk to access old seals.
- Remove old weatherstrip: peel out rubber seals and any metal retainers; use a trim tool or flat screwdriver for stubborn clips.
- Clean mounting channels thoroughly with alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old adhesive, dirt, and rust; allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new piece to confirm correct location and orientation before applying adhesive.
- If required, apply primer to the channel and allow to flash per adhesive instructions. Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to either the channel or the seal as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working from one end to the other to avoid gaps. Fold or trim corners as needed with a razor knife for a neat fit.
- Use masking tape to hold seals in place while adhesive cures, following the adhesive cure time on the product label.
- Trim any excess material and check door/trunk closure for proper alignment and compression. Adjust as necessary and allow full cure before exposing to moisture.
