Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open all related doors/vents to access old weatherstripping.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use trim tool to pry out retainers and cut away any adhesive with a razor knife.
- Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new pieces in place without adhesive to confirm correct orientation and required trimming.
- If trimming is necessary, measure and mark the new seals, then cut to fit with a sharp razor or scissors.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel or flange per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into place, aligning pre-formed sections and ensuring full contact along the adhesive.
- Temporarily tape or clamp the seals for the recommended cure time stated on the adhesive, then remove tape/clamps and check fit and closure.
- Inspect for gaps and reapply small amounts of adhesive where needed; allow full cure before exposing to moisture.
