Complete weatherstrip seal kit designed for models without a weatherstrip trim groove. This kit replaces worn or missing seals to restore a tight, weatherproof fit around doors, windows or trunks, preventing water intrusion, wind noise and interior damage. Constructed from durable, long-lasting material for reliable sealing and simple installation, it’s ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance on classic vehicles that require a groove-less weatherstrip solution.
Features:
- Fits models without a weatherstrip trim groove (verify part number CWK 1111 64 for compatibility).
- Made from durable EPDM-grade rubber for long-term resistance to weather, ozone and temperature changes.
- Provides a secure seal to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise and protect interior components.
- Designed for direct replacement to restore original fit and finish during restorations.
- Easy to trim and shape for a precise fit; installs without special modification on most groove-less applications.
- Helps maintain vehicle value by restoring proper sealing and preventing rust and interior damage.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1-2 hours (full door/window/trunk run)
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out the existing seal and remove any retained clips or adhesive residue.
- Clean the channel and surrounding surface: wipe with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt, oil and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new seal: align the new weatherstrip along the channel to confirm length and orientation before applying adhesive.
- Trim to length: use a razor blade or scissors to cut the seal to the correct length, leaving a small overlap for corners if applicable.
- Apply adhesive (if required): follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions and apply a thin, even coat to the channel or seal surface.
- Install the seal: press the weatherstrip into place starting at one end and working along the run, using a seam roller or rubber mallet to seat it evenly.
- Secure corners and ends: ensure ends are butted or overlapped per original configuration and use masking tape to hold in place until adhesive cures, if used.
- Final check: close the panel and inspect for proper compression and gaps; make minor adjustments as needed and allow full adhesive cure time before exposure to moisture.
