Direct-fit beltline molding kit for 1984–1989 Chevrolet Corvette (C4). This inner left and right pair restores the original beltline trim, secures window and door edge trim, and protects the paint and sealing surfaces from wear and weather. Designed as a durable, corrosion-resistant replacement, the kit helps maintain proper alignment of the beltline trim, reduces wind noise and water intrusion, and is easy to install for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits 1984–1989 Chevrolet Corvette (inner left and right hand beltline moldings).
- Sold as a matched pair (inner LH & RH) — direct-fit replacement to restore factory appearance.
- Precision-formed, corrosion-resistant finish for long-lasting protection and consistent fit.
- Secures and aligns beltline trim to protect paint, seals, and window edges from damage.
- Helps reduce wind noise and water intrusion while improving trim appearance.
- Easy-to-install design ideal for restorations, maintenance, or replacing worn or missing moldings.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and roll window up fully. Protect surrounding paint with masking tape where you will pry.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding: use a plastic trim tool to disengage clips or a flathead screwdriver wrapped in tape to avoid scratching. Remove any fasteners (screws/bolts) if present.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with solvent and a lint-free cloth to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new inner left and right moldings to check alignment and clip engagement before final installation.
- If the molding uses clips, align the clips with the holes and press firmly along the length until each clip snaps into place. If fasteners are required, secure them with the appropriate screwdriver or socket.
- If adhesive or sealant is specified or needed, apply a thin, even bead as directed by the sealant manufacturer before setting the molding.
- Re-check fit and gaps, wipe away any excess adhesive immediately, and allow recommended cure time before exposing to moisture or driving.
