A direct-fit 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit supplying left- and right-hand seals to restore a watertight, wind- and noise-resistant door closure. Engineered from durable EPDM-style rubber with a factory-profile design, this kit replaces aged, cracked, or compressed seals to prevent water intrusion, reduce road noise, and maintain proper door alignment. Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance, the seals resist ozone, UV and temperature extremes and install with basic hand tools — verify part number DWP 2110 78 against your vehicle to confirm compatibility before purchase.
Features:
- Left and right hand, 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit (DWP 2110 78) — direct replacement profile.
- Durable EPDM-style rubber resists ozone, UV, heat, and cold for long service life.
- Seals out water, dust, and wind while reducing road noise and vibration.
- Factory-style profile restores correct door alignment and shut quality.
- Easy, straightforward installation with no special skills required — great for restorations.
- OEM-fit design minimizes trimming; trim-to-fit option if slight modification is needed.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry off retaining clips or adhesive, taking care not to damage the door channel or paint.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left- and right-hand seals into the door channel to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange or channel per adhesive instructions.
- Press the seal firmly into the channel starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the bulb compresses against the door frame and the mounting flange seats fully.
- Use painter's tape or clamps to hold the seal in place while adhesive cures (follow adhesive cure time).
- Operate the door several times to ensure proper fit and sealing; make final adjustments or trim small areas as needed.
