Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and open the door to be serviced.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel; use a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver to ease stubborn sections.
- Clean the door channel and surrounding flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the door perimeter to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the bulb flange per the adhesive manufacturer's directions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel, starting at one end and working around the door. Align the seal so the profile seats evenly against the door frame.
- Use masking tape or clamps to hold the seal in place at key points while the adhesive begins to set.
- Trim any excess material with scissors or a utility knife for a clean finish, if necessary.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately. Allow adhesive to cure as directed (typically 1–24 hours) before closing the door or driving.
