Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: use a trim tool to pry out any retained sections and peel the seal away from the channel.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or approved cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and residue; allow to dry fully.
- Test-fit the new left or right seal (match orientation) along the door opening to confirm correct length and position; trim excess if necessary with scissors or a utility knife.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive manufacturer's instructions; avoid over-application.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel starting at the top hinge area and work around the door, ensuring all retention ribs seat into the channel.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in place where needed while adhesive sets; close the door gently to check alignment and sealing contact.
- Trim any final excess and allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time (typically several hours to 24 hours) before normal use.
