Direct-fit door weatherstrip designed for 4-door sedan and wagon front doors. This left-or-right front door seal restores the factory-style seal to prevent water intrusion, wind noise and dust while helping maintain proper door alignment. Made from a durable rubber compound with an OEM-profile design, it offers long-lasting flexibility and resistance to ozone and UV for reliable performance in restoration and maintenance applications. Easy to test-fit and install for a clean, factory appearance.
Features:
- Fits 1961 4-door sedans and wagons — left or right front door (DWB 1310 61).
- Premium rubber compound (EPDM-style) resists ozone, UV and temperature-related hardening.
- OEM-style profile for accurate sealing, alignment and original-fit restoration.
- Prevents water leaks, reduces wind noise and keeps out dust and road debris.
- Durable construction provides long service life for classic car restorations.
- Simple installation — push-in fit with optional adhesive for a secure bond.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Open the front door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel. Use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to help if clips or sealant hold it in place.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and silicone residues. Allow to dry.
- Inspect the channel for rust or damage; repair or treat any corrosion before installing the new seal.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door frame to confirm orientation and fit. Trim any excess if necessary, leaving a small allowance at the ends.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new seal firmly into the channel beginning at the top hinge area and work your way around, ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully into the channel. Use firm, even pressure to set the seal.
- Trim excess material at the ends with a utility knife or scissors and tuck the ends neatly into door corners or retainers.
- Close and open the door several times to seat the seal and check for proper compression and alignment. Adjust as needed.
- Allow any adhesive to cure for the recommended time before exposing the vehicle to moisture or heavy use.
