Instructions:
- Verify fitment: hold the molding against the beltline and confirm length and profile match the vehicle; mark intended placement with masking tape.
- Measure and mark the exact length needed; allow extra for overlap if required. If cutting, secure the molding and cut with a hacksaw or metal shear, then deburr edges with a file.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with solvent and a clean cloth to remove wax, grease, and dirt for best adhesion or mechanical fit.
- If using adhesive: apply an automotive-grade trim adhesive to the molding or vehicle channel per adhesive instructions, position molding, and clamp or tape in place until set.
- If using mechanical fasteners: mark and drill pilot holes through the molding and vehicle flange as required; fasten with rivets or OEM-style retainers, spacing fasteners evenly along the length.
- Seat the rubber cover and flocked lining against the panel; use a rubber mallet to gently tap the molding into final position and ensure the chrome cap is aligned.
- Inspect the installed molding for secure fit, smooth alignment, and any gaps; touch up or seal cut ends to prevent moisture intrusion if needed.
