Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and ensure the work area is clean and dry.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding: use a plastic trim removal tool to pry out any clips and a small flat-head screwdriver for stubborn clips. Keep any reusable clips if undamaged.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the beltline to verify alignment and clip locations.
- If new clips are required, insert them into the molding or body as specified. If adhesive is used, apply an appropriate trim adhesive or promoter per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Align the molding at one end and press it firmly into place along the beltline, engaging clips or adhesive steadily along the length. Use a rubber mallet with a cloth if gentle tapping is needed to seat the molding.
- Secure any exposed clip heads and wipe away excess adhesive immediately.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer directions (if used) and inspect the seal and fit. Re-check after a short test drive for any loosening.
