Features:
- Direct-fit rear side outer right-hand beltline molding (replacement trim piece).
- Made from corrosion-resistant metal with a factory-style finish for long life.
- Protects paint along the beltline from chips, scratches, and weather damage.
- Helps reduce wind noise and limits water intrusion at the door/quarter seam.
- Designed for restoration and collision-repair applications to restore OEM look.
- Pre-formed profile for accurate alignment and easier installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the work area is clean and dry.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use a plastic trim tool or gently pry out retainers; if adhesive-backed, warm with a heat gun to soften the adhesive before removal.
- Remove any remaining adhesive and old clip fragments; clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the beltline to confirm alignment and clip/screw locations. Mark reference points with masking tape if needed.
- If the molding uses adhesive, apply adhesive promoter/primer per product instructions and apply new weather-grade adhesive tape or bead. If it uses clips, align and engage the clips into the factory holes.
- Press the molding firmly along its length, securing clips or holding adhesive contact. Use gentle, even pressure to ensure full engagement and seal.
- Reinstall any screws or fasteners removed earlier and remove masking tape. Allow adhesive to cure per adhesive manufacturer's recommendations before washing or driving in wet conditions.
- Inspect fitment and finish; adjust if necessary.
