Instructions:
- Protect surrounding paint and glass with masking tape.
- If required, remove interior trim or door panel to access fasteners holding the molding.
- Locate and remove screws, bolts, or clips fastening the old molding; retain any reusable hardware.
- Carefully pry out the old molding using a trim tool, working along the length to avoid bending the channel.
- Clean the mounting channel and adjacent surfaces with rubbing alcohol or solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion.
- Test-fit the new molding in place to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
- Align the new molding and press it into the channel, engaging clips or fasteners as applicable; use a rubber mallet gently if needed.
- Reinstall any screws, bolts, or retaining clips to secure the molding; apply seam sealer or adhesive where original installation requires it.
- Reinstall the interior trim or door panel and verify that the window operates freely without binding.
- Inspect the installed molding for even fit, and clean the area to remove fingerprints or residue.
