Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape where the molding will be handled.
- Carefully remove interior door/quarter trim (if required) to access the back side of the beltline molding and any fasteners.
- Locate and remove retaining screws, clips, or fasteners holding the old molding; use a trim tool or screwdriver to gently pry the molding free. If adhesive is present, apply heat or adhesive remover as needed.
- Remove and retain any reusable clips or replace damaged clips. Inspect the mounting channel for rust, old adhesive, or debris.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an approved cleaner and allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new moldings (left and right) along the beltline to confirm orientation and alignment; use masking tape to temporarily hold pieces in position if helpful.
- Transfer or install new clips/fasteners onto the new molding as required. Align the front end first and work rearward, pressing each clip or section into the mounting channel until fully seated.
- Reinstall any screws or retainers and reinstall interior trim panels removed earlier. Wipe away any fingerprints or residue from the finished surface.
- Perform a final inspection to confirm secure fitment, uniform gaps, and smooth operation of windows/doors. Make any minor alignment adjustments as needed.
