Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, disconnect the battery if desired, and lower the window about 1–2 inches to access glassrun channels.
- Remove interior door trim and any window or beltline trim necessary to access the old seals and glassruns.
- Carefully remove old weatherstrip pieces and glassruns. Use a razor blade or trim tool to release adhesive and clips; take care not to scratch glass or paint.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow surfaces to dry completely.
- Dry-fit new pieces to confirm proper orientation and placement. Use masking tape to hold parts in position if needed.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive where recommended (follow adhesive manufacturer instructions). Align and press each new seal and glassrun into place, working from one end to the other for an even fit.
- Reinstall any beltline trim and interior door panels. Ensure glass moves smoothly through the new glassruns and that seals seat properly when the window is closed.
- Test operation: cycle the window several times to confirm proper alignment and to allow adhesive to set. Check for wind noise and leaks with a garden hose if desired.
- Allow full adhesive cure time per adhesive instructions before exposing the vehicle to heavy use or rain.
