Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip by gently prying it away from the door channel and hinge area; use a trim tool to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- Remove any remaining adhesive and debris from the door frame channel using adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol and a clean rag. Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals in their respective door channels to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the door channel or to the seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Seat the seal starting at the top hinge area and press it firmly into the channel, working down the door edge and ensuring the bulb and lip engage the channel evenly.
- Use masking tape to hold seals in place at corners or ends if needed while adhesive sets. Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a clean finish.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately. Close the door gently and check for proper alignment and compression of the seal; adjust if necessary.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product directions (typically several hours) before driving to ensure a durable, weather-tight bond.
