Features:
- Direct-replacement left-hand door weatherstrip — verify DWL 2110 56 for correct vehicle fitment.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber for long service life and UV resistance.
- Forms a tight seal to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise and keep out dust and drafts.
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and proper door alignment and closure.
- Easy to install with adhesive or clip-in application; ideal for restoration and maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the door fully. Work in a clean, dry area.
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry out any retained clips or adhesive, using a trim tool to avoid scratching paint.
- Clean the mounting channel and flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new DWL 2110 56 seal along the door opening to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary, cutting squarely to ensure a tight end-to-end join.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the seal per adhesive instructions. For clip-in types, align the retaining edge with the channel.
- Starting at one end, press the seal firmly into place along the channel. Use masking tape or light clamps to hold sections while adhesive cures, if applicable.
- Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low to gently warm stubborn sections for improved flexibility and fit (avoid overheating).
- Close and open the door several times to seat the seal and check for proper compression and alignment. Adjust as needed.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per manufacturer instructions before exposing to moisture or driving.
