Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, open the RH rear/extended cab door and support it so it won’t move during work.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use a trim tool or screwdriver to pry out retaining clips or gently pull the seal free from the channel.
- Remove any old adhesive or debris from the door channel using adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol and a clean rag. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dirt and wax.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door frame to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with a utility knife for a clean fit if necessary.
- If adhesive is required, apply a continuous bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the clean channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Align the top of the weatherstrip and press it firmly into the channel, working your way around the door edge. Use masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive sets, if needed.
- Inspect all corners and joints to ensure full contact and no gaps. Re-seat any clips or fasteners if applicable.
- Allow adhesive to cure as recommended (typically 1–24 hours) before closing the door frequently. Recheck the seal and make minor adjustments if needed.
