This 2-piece push-on style door weatherstrip seal kit includes left and right hand 60" seals designed to restore a tight, weatherproof fit to vehicle doors. The U-channel, push-on design provides a secure hold along the door edge to prevent water intrusion, drafts, dust and road noise. Constructed from durable, flexible rubber for long service life and resistance to cracking, the kit is ideal for replacement or restoration projects and offers a fast, tool-light installation that improves comfort and protects interior trim.
Features:
- Left and right hand 2-piece kit; each seal is 60" long for trimming to fit.
- Push-on U-channel design for secure, retention-style attachment.
- Flexible, durable rubber resists cracking, shrinking and weathering.
- Reduces water intrusion, drafts, dust and road noise for improved cabin comfort.
- Easy to install — trims to length and pushes onto the door flange.
- Ideal for restoration and replacement applications to renew door sealing performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes (both doors, depending on prep and fitment)
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out the existing seal and any old adhesive or clips from the door edge.
- Clean the mounting surface: wipe the door flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal: lay the 60" seal along the door edge to check length and orientation (left vs right).
- Trim to length: mark and cut the seal with a utility knife or heavy scissors so it will butt or slightly overlap at the ends as preferred for your vehicle.
- Lubricate the U-channel (optional): apply a light soapy water solution or a small amount of silicone spray to the channel to ease installation.
- Push-on installation: starting at one end of the door, press the U-channel over the door flange and work along the length, seating the seal firmly onto the flange. Use a panel tool or your thumbs to ensure full engagement.
- Finish the ends: ensure the ends are seated and trimmed cleanly. Use masking tape to hold corners temporarily if needed while seating.
- Check door operation: close the door and inspect for proper compression and alignment. Adjust the seal position if necessary to avoid binding or gaps.
- Final cleanup: wipe away any lubricant residue and inspect for secure fit along the entire seal.
