Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and disconnect negative battery terminal if desired for safety.
- Remove windshield wiper arms: lift the arms, remove retaining nuts, and carefully pull arms off the splines (note arm position for reinstallation).
- Remove cowl cover/trim: use trim tool to release clips and remove screws or fasteners securing the cowl panel; lift the panel carefully to access the cowl ends.
- Remove old seals: peel out the old cowl end seals and any remaining adhesive or clip remnants.
- Clean mounting surfaces: wipe mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit new seals: position the new cowl end seals in place to verify alignment and orientation before final installation.
- Install new seals: press the seals firmly into the cowl end channels, ensuring all tabs or edges seat fully and any keyed features align with factory locations.
- Reinstall cowl panel and fasteners: re-seat the cowl cover, replace any clips or screws removed, and secure fasteners snugly.
- Reinstall windshield wiper arms: position arms back on splines in original orientation, tighten retaining nuts to manufacturer torque specification, and lower arms to the windshield.
- Inspect and test: check fitment for gaps, ensure seals are fully seated, and run a water test (hose) if desired to confirm there are no leaks.
