The Precision Hood To Cowl Seal CS 2110 67 is a durable hood-to-cowl weatherstrip engineered to restore proper sealing between the hood and cowl on 1967 model-year vehicles. It prevents water, dust, and road debris from entering the cowl and engine bay, helps reduce hood vibration, and protects body and electrical components from corrosion. Molded from long-lasting EPDM rubber with an OEM-style profile, this seal offers reliable compression, UV and ozone resistance, and an easy direct-replacement fit for restoration and maintenance projects.
Features:
- Made from high-grade EPDM rubber for long life and weather resistance.
- Designed to prevent water infiltration, debris entry, and cowl-area corrosion.
- OEM-style profile restores factory sealing performance and reduces hood rattle.
- Direct-replacement design for straightforward restoration or maintenance.
- UV, ozone, and oil-resistant compound for durable performance in all climates.
- Easy to install with common hand tools; adhesive-ready where required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hood and prop it securely; disconnect any hood insulation fasteners if present.
- Carefully remove the old hood-to-cowl seal using a trim tool or flat screwdriver, taking care not to damage painted surfaces.
- Clean the cowl and hood mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or degreaser until free of old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the cowl edge to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the cowl channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new seal firmly into place along the cowl, working from one end to the other to ensure continuous contact and correct seating.
- Trim any excess seal material if necessary and reattach hood insulation or fasteners.
- Close the hood gently to check alignment and sealing. Allow adhesive to cure if used (refer to adhesive curing time) before driving.
