Instructions:
- Gather tools and work in a clean, well-lit area. If possible, lower the window and remove the door panel to access the beltline channel.
- Carefully remove the old molding: pry out retaining clips or remove screws and lift the molding away. Keep any reusable hardware if in good condition.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or surface cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive, and corrosion. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the inner molding piece in the channel to confirm orientation and fit. Use masking tape to mark alignment points if helpful.
- Install the inner molding: align it with the channel and press into place. Secure with original clips or recommended trim adhesive, following adhesive cure instructions.
- Test-fit the outer molding over the inner piece, making sure edges and ends align evenly. Adjust until fit is correct.
- Secure the outer molding with clips or screws as required. Press firmly along the length to seat the molding and ensure a flush finish.
- Reinstall the door panel and any removed components. Check window operation and trim alignment; allow adhesive to cure fully before exposing to moisture if adhesive was used.
