A direct-fit outer quarter glass weatherstrip seal designed for 2-door coupe applications, this part restores a watertight, secure seal around the quarter window to prevent leaks, wind noise and glass movement. Molded from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber with designed attachment features for left or right side use, it provides long-lasting protection, reliable alignment of the glass, and an easy replacement path during restoration or maintenance.
Features:
- Fits many 2-door coupe models — verify compatibility with part number 76834 E4101 before purchase.
- Outer quarter glass weatherstrip for left or right hand installation (driver or passenger side).
- Constructed from weather-resistant EPDM rubber for durability and UV resistance.
- Seals against water intrusion and reduces wind noise while securing quarter glass alignment.
- Designed for restoration and replacement applications to restore factory fit and finish.
- Simple installation with common hand tools; no specialty fabrication required in most cases.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower/secure any movable glass as applicable for access.
- Carefully remove interior trim and any retainers or clips holding the old quarter glass weatherstrip using a plastic trim tool and screwdriver as needed.
- Remove the old seal and any remaining adhesive or debris from the channel. Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip (76834 E4101) on the quarter glass and along the channel to confirm orientation (left vs. right) and fit.
- If recommended or for extra hold, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal flange following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting from one end, press the new seal into the channel, working around the perimeter and ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully. Use masking tape to hold the seal in position if needed while adhesive sets.
- Reinstall any clips or retainers removed earlier and reinstall interior trim pieces.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (if used). Test for proper fit by checking glass alignment and inspecting for gaps or water intrusion.
