Right-hand quarter glass leading edge seal for 2-door coupe models — part QLR 4440 74.5. This molded weatherstrip restores the sealing surface where the quarter glass meets the body, preventing water intrusion, wind noise, and glass vibration. Made for classic coupe restorations and replacements, the seal provides OE-style fit, long-lasting weather resistance, and simple installation to bring back proper glass alignment and trim integrity.
Features:
- Fits 2‑door coupe models — right‑hand quarter glass leading edge (part QLR 4440 74.5).
- Molded replacement seal designed to restore the original glass-to-body seal and alignment.
- Constructed from weather-resistant rubber compound for UV, ozone, and temperature durability.
- Prevents water leaks, reduces wind noise, and minimizes glass vibration.
- Direct-fit form for straightforward installation; trims and adhesives may be required for final fit.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the quarter glass is closed and accessible.
- Carefully remove the old seal: use a plastic trim tool and needle-nose pliers to pry out retainers and pull the old weatherstrip free. Cut away stubborn sections with a utility knife if needed.
- Clean the mounting flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a suitable solvent to remove adhesive residue, dirt, and old sealant. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the leading edge to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess with a utility knife for a clean fit.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange (follow adhesive manufacturer instructions).
- Position the new seal onto the flange and press firmly along its length, using masking tape or clamps to hold it in place while the adhesive sets.
- Operate the quarter glass slowly to verify clearance and fit; make minor adjustments if required.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive instructions (typically 1–24 hours) before driving. Remove any masking tape and clean up excess adhesive.
