Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and roll down or remove the vent glass assembly as needed for access (refer to vehicle service manual for vent glass removal).
- Carefully remove any retaining screws, clips, or trim pieces that secure the vent glass and weatherstrip.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip seal from the channel. Use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the frame. Take note of orientation and any retention features.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and mounting surfaces with rubbing alcohol or a mild solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow surfaces to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right weatherstrip pieces in their channels to confirm correct orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive instructions. For many installs, the seals will hold without glue; use adhesive where original retention is degraded.
- Press the new seals firmly into the channel, ensuring the molded lip seats fully against the vent glass and frame. Use masking tape to hold the seals in place while adhesive sets if used.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly, trim, and any retainers. Check for smooth operation of the vent glass and make final adjustments for alignment.
- Test for leaks by spraying water around the newly installed seals or performing a light water check. Re-tighten or reseat seals if any leaks are detected. Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions before full use.
