Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the vent (wing) window fully.
- Remove the vent glass assembly: loosen mounting screws or clips holding the vent frame and carefully slide the assembly out. Keep hardware for reinstallation.
- Carefully peel out the old weatherstrip from the vent glass/frame. Use a trim tool or flathead screwdriver to lift stubborn edges without scratching the glass.
- Clean the channel and glass mating surfaces thoroughly with a clean rag and mild cleaner to remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris. Allow to dry.
- Lightly mist the new weatherstrip with soapy water or a rubber-safe lubricant to ease installation.
- Starting at one corner, press the new seal onto the vent glass/frame, working around the perimeter and ensuring the seal lip fully seats into the channel. Use gentle pressure; avoid stretching the rubber excessively.
- Trim any excess material if necessary (only if instructed by fitment), and confirm the seal sits flush and even on both left and right pieces.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly into the door/frame, tighten mounting screws or clips, and adjust alignment so the vent closes smoothly and evenly.
- Test for proper sealing by closing the vent and checking for gaps; optionally perform a water test or road-test to confirm leak- and noise-free fitment.
