Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower window; disconnect battery if desired for safety.
- Remove the interior door panel or access plate to expose the vent window pivot/fasteners.
- Carefully remove any screws, clips or retainers holding the vent glass assembly in place; support the vent glass to prevent dropping.
- Pivot or slide the vent glass assembly out enough to access the old weatherstrip; note orientation for reassembly.
- Peel out the old weatherstrip from the vent glass/frame channel; use a trim tool if needed and clean the channel thoroughly with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.
- Apply a light coating of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the new weatherstrip to ease installation.
- Seat the new weatherstrip into the vent glass/frame channel, aligning corners and locating tabs or beads into their grooves; press firmly for a full seal.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly, secure pivot screws/retainers, and check alignment and smooth operation.
- Test for leaks and wind noise by running a water hose or driving at low speed; make final adjustments if necessary.
- Reinstall the door panel or access plate and verify all hardware is tightened and trim is properly seated.
