The Precision Vent Glass Weatherstrip Seal, Right hand VWR 1110 81 is a direct-fit replacement seal designed to restore the weatherproofing and fit of a vent (wing) window. It forms a reliable barrier against water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while securing the vent glass in its channel. Constructed from a durable rubber compound, this right-hand seal delivers long-lasting performance and helps maintain interior comfort and trim integrity during vehicle restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Right-hand orientation for vent (wing) window replacement.
- Durable rubber compound resists weathering, ozone, and UV exposure.
- Seals vent glass to prevent water leaks, wind noise, and rattles.
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and proper glass alignment.
- Easy to install as a direct replacement for worn or cracked seals.
- Ideal for restoration projects or routine weatherseal maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and lower the vent/wing window slightly if possible; disconnect the battery if removing any electrical components.
- Carefully remove interior trim or sail panel to access the vent window channel and mounting hardware using a trim tool and screwdrivers.
- Loosen or remove the vent window pivot screws or mounting bolts as needed to gain clearance for seal removal.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip starting at one end; use pliers or a trim tool to work it free from the channel. Remove any old adhesive residue with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation (right-hand) and length. Trim excess if required with a utility knife.
- Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive where recommended, or use silicone lubricant/soapy water to ease installation.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one corner and work around the perimeter, ensuring the seal seats fully and the glass groove captures the vent glass evenly.
- Reinstall pivot screws, adjust glass alignment if necessary, and reattach interior trim. Test the vent window for smooth operation and check for leaks with a light spray of water.
