Precision Vent Window Hardware VRK 1111 73 is a complete vent-window hardware kit designed to secure, align and restore vent/sash windows. It replaces worn pivots, brackets and fasteners to eliminate wind noise, rattles and water leaks while restoring smooth opening and closing action. Built from high‑strength components with a corrosion‑resistant finish for long service life, the kit is ideal for restoration and maintenance of classic vehicles with vent windows; verify fitment for your specific make and year before purchase.

  • Needle‑nose pliers
  • Soft-faced hammer or rubber mallet
  • Grease or anti-seize
  • Shop rags
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect battery if working near power components, and remove the door panel and any inner vapor barrier to access the vent assembly.
  2. Carefully remove vent window trim and glass retainers, noting the orientation and order of any clips or shims for reassembly.
  3. Unbolt and remove the old pivot pins, brackets and hardware. Keep fasteners if they are undamaged and will be reused, otherwise discard.
  4. Clean mounting surfaces and pivot areas of old grease, corrosion and debris. Inspect vent frame and glass for damage.
  5. Install new pivots, brackets and fasteners from the kit, applying a thin film of grease to moving pivot points to ensure smooth operation.
  6. Adjust the vent sash alignment so gaps are even and the vent closes flush with the door frame; tighten fasteners to secure the alignment.
  7. Cycle the vent window open and closed several times to confirm smooth movement and proper sealing. Make final adjustments as needed.
  8. Reinstall trim, vapor barrier and door panel. Test for wind noise and water leaks, and recheck fastener tightness after a short drive.
