This windshield weatherstrip seal is engineered to restore a watertight, rattle-free fit around the windshield for all models except convertibles. Designed to work with chrome trim that inserts into body clips (WCR D609), the seal provides a secure interface between glass, trim, and body to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect the windshield edge from corrosion. Made from resilient, weather-resistant material, it offers long-lasting durability and a straightforward replacement path for restorations and maintenance.

Suggested Tools:

Panel/trim removal tool
Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers
Needle-nose pliers
Utility knife or shears
Rubbing alcohol or solvent and clean cloths
Masking tape
Rubber mallet or block of wood
Weatherstrip adhesive or seam sealer (optional)

Instructions:

Park the vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with masking tape or drop cloths.
Carefully remove any exterior chrome trim or molding that interfaces with the old weatherstrip (use trim tools to avoid damage).
Pull out the old weatherstrip and remove any remaining clips, adhesive, and debris from the channel.
Clean the windshield flange and body channel with rubbing alcohol or a suitable solvent; allow to dry completely.
Test-fit the new weatherstrip and chrome trim (WCR D609) to confirm orientation and clip alignment.
If clips are missing or damaged, replace them now. Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive in the channel only if required by fitment or to secure corners.
Beginning at one side, press the new weatherstrip into the body channel, engaging body clips as you go. Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the seal evenly without deforming it.
Reinstall the chrome trim over the seal, ensuring the trim’s insertion lip engages the body clips and the seal is not pinched or twisted.
Trim any excess weatherstrip material with a utility knife for a clean finish and inspect for gaps around corners and edges.
Allow any adhesive to cure per instructions, then test for leaks by gently spraying water around the windshield and checking the interior for drips.
