A direct-fit A-pillar and header seal for 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvette, designed to restore factory weatherproofing at the windshield and roof header. This OEM-style weatherstrip seals out water, wind, dust and reduces road noise while protecting interior trim and upholstery from moisture damage. Built from durable EPDM rubber and engineered for easy alignment and long-term resilience, it’s an excellent replacement during restorations or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fitment: 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvette (A-pillar and header)
- OEM-style fit for proper alignment with windshield, header and trim
- Made from durable EPDM rubber to resist UV, ozone and compression set
- Seals out water, wind and dust to reduce leaks and cabin noise
- Ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn, cracked seals
- Simple press-in installation with optional adhesive for permanent hold
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and open doors/hood as needed to access the A-pillar and header areas.
- Carefully remove the old seal by pulling outward; use a trim tool to lift stubborn sections and avoid damaging surrounding trim.
- Clean the sealing channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old glue, dirt and residue. Allow to dry.
- Compare the new seal to the old part to confirm orientation and length; trim the new seal if necessary for an exact fit.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead to the channel or the seal per adhesive manufacturer's instructions. Many seals will press-fit without adhesive.
- Starting at one end, align the seal and press it firmly into the channel. Work along the length, ensuring the bulb seats fully and corners at the A-pillar/header meet without gaps.
- Replace any removed trim pieces and press along the entire seal to insure a secure fit. Close the door and windshield (if applicable) to verify proper clearance and fit.
- Allow any adhesive to cure as directed before exposing the vehicle to water or driving at highway speeds. Re-check after initial use and re-seat as needed.
