Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any windshield trim or molding. If windshield removal is required for your vehicle, consult a glass technician.
- Clean the windshield flange and surrounding surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and sealant. Allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new WCR 105 B seal around the windshield opening to confirm fitment and identify any trimming points.
- If adhesive is recommended for your application, apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the flange per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at the top center of the windshield opening, press the seal into place and work outward toward the corners. Ensure the seal's bulb seats firmly against the glass flange and the trim groove aligns correctly for the molding.
- Trim any excess seal material with a utility knife for a neat butt joint at the ends. Use painter's tape or spring clamps to hold the seal in place while adhesive cures.
- Reinstall windshield trim or molding into the seal's groove, ensuring it snaps or seats fully for a finished appearance.
- Allow adhesive to cure per adhesive instructions (commonly 24 hours) before driving and check for leaks after the first wash or light rain.
