Instructions:
- Measure the length of the edge where the seal will be applied and add a small allowance for trimming.
- Clean the mounting edge thoroughly with solvent to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive so the wire core can seat firmly.
- Cut the bulb seal to the measured length using a utility knife or heavy-duty scissors; score and bend for a clean cut if needed.
- Apply a light coating of soapy water or silicone spray to the channel if the fit is tight—this eases installation but is not required.
- Position one end of the U-channel onto the edge and press the seal onto the flange, working along the length. Use a rubber roller or soft-faced mallet to help seat the wire core evenly without deforming the rubber.
- Trim any excess material and check that the seal is seated uniformly along the edge. Re-check areas around corners and ends and readjust if necessary.
