Instructions:
- Measure the flange length where the seal will be installed and add 1/4–1/2" for trimming allowance.
- Clean the flange thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry to remove grease, dirt and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the seal along the flange to confirm profile compatibility and mark trimming points.
- Cut the seal to length with a utility knife or heavy-duty scissors; make a straight, square cut for best end fit.
- If desired, apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone spray to the channel to ease initial push-on installation.
- Align the U-channel over the flange and press the seal onto the edge, starting at one end and working along the length.
- Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to gently seat the seal on the flange, tapping at intervals to ensure full engagement.
- Trim any excess, tuck or overlap end joints neatly, and apply adhesive or end caps where extra retention or a finished look is required.
- Operate the door or panel to confirm the seal does not bind and adjust as needed for a consistent compression.
