Precision Universal Bulb Seal with rubber-covered wire core push-on u-channel UWS 163 R-250 is a universal automotive sealing profile designed to protect edges and close gaps on doors, trunks, hoods, windows, trailers and other access panels. The rubber-covered steel wire core pushes into a U-shaped channel to provide secure retention while delivering weatherproofing, vibration damping and wind-noise reduction. Its resilient rubber face resists UV and ozone, helps prevent water intrusion and metal damage, and is easily trimmed and installed for restoration, repair or maintenance projects. Durable, reliable and simple to fit, this seal restores fit and finish while extending the life of sheet metal edges.

Instructions:
- Measure the length of the channel or edge to be sealed and add a small allowance for trimming.
- Clean the channel thoroughly of old sealant, dirt, rust and paint flakes to ensure good seating.
- Test-fit a short section of the bulb seal into the U-channel to confirm fit and orientation.
- If needed, trim the profile to length using a utility knife or heavy-duty scissors; cut the rubber and core cleanly.
- Apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone spray into the channel and to the seal to ease installation.
- Starting at one end, press the wire-core bulb into the U-channel; use steady pressure and a rubber mallet or block to seat the seal evenly.
- Work along the edge in sections, checking alignment and seating as you go to avoid gaps or bunching.
- When finished, trim excess material flush, bend or crimp the wire core ends inside the channel, and inspect the seal for consistent compression and contact.
- Allow any lubricant to dry and perform a water test (hose) if weatherproofing verification is required.
