Instructions:
- Prepare the work area and remove any components or trim necessary to access the damaged clip.
- Use a trim removal tool or gently pry with a wrapped flathead screwdriver to release the trim panel without damaging surrounding surfaces.
- Remove the old clip by pulling it out or rotating it free with needle-nose pliers; discard the damaged clip.
- Inspect the mounting hole for debris or corrosion and clean with a cloth; use soapy water or a light silicone lubricant for stiff holes if desired.
- Align the new molded clip with the mounting hole and press straight in until the clip seats and locks flush with the panel.
- Reinstall the trim panel, ensuring the clip engages the mating hole on the vehicle body and the panel sits evenly.
- Check the securement by gently tugging the trim; replace any additional worn clips to restore full fitment.
