Instructions:
- Park on level ground and work in a well-lit, ventilated area; wear gloves to protect hands.
- Carefully pry up the windshield molding or trim where the clip(s) need replacement using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver to avoid damaging the molding.
- Remove any damaged or corroded clips from the body and molding. Use pliers if necessary to pull out broken pieces.
- Clean the clip mounting area and the molding channel with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and grime; allow to dry.
- Test-fit a replacement clip on the molding or into the body mounting hole to confirm orientation and fit.
- Align the molding with the new clips and press firmly until each clip snaps into the vehicle body or molding channel. Ensure clips are fully seated and the molding is flush.
- Inspect the seal and trim for even fitment and test by gently tugging the molding. Reinstall any adjacent trim pieces as needed and check for wind noise or gaps after a short road test.
